A permanent vacancy has arisen for a Software and Control Engineer working within the Engineering department based at Warwick, reporting to the Software and Control Team Leader.
The purpose of this role is to be responsible for the software and control development of an electric vehicle application.
The role will involve the utilisation of MATLAB/Simulink for software and control system development and the creation of a set of requirements which form the basis of the software development lifecycle. The role will also involve the creation of a suite of software tests which allow interchangeability for software and hardware in the loop testing.
The successful candidate will have experience of automotive development of software and control systems and experience with capturing requirements from stakeholder to implementation. Candidates will need to be highly skilled in MATLAB/Simulink and have knowledge of the fundamentals of control theory. Candidates will also need to have an understanding of the V model.
Candidates should have well-developed problem-solving techniques with the ability to communicate technically complex subjects.
Applicants should have a degree-level qualification in Software or Control Engineering, with a minimum of 2-3 years’ industrial experience.
The successful candidate will be required to occasionally visit other companies for engineering integration.
