A permanent vacancy has arisen for a Software Engineer working within the Engineering department based at Warwick, reporting to the Software and Control Team Leader.
The purpose of this role is to be responsible for the software development of an electric vehicle application, along with the software code generation for deployment in a rapid prototyping unit (RPU).
The role will involve the utilisation of MATLAB/Simulink for software development and the creation of a set of requirements which form the basis of the software development lifecycle. The role will also involve the utilisation of code generation and post processing tools to generate application code and aiding in the loop (HIL) tests and structures.
The successful candidate will have experience of automotive development of software and experience with capturing requirements from stakeholder to implementation.
Candidates will need to be highly skilled in MATLAB/Simulink and be familiar with code generation and rapid prototyping units (RPU). Candidates will also need to have an understanding of the V model.
Candidates should have well-developed problem-solving techniques with the ability to communicate technically complex subjects.
Applicants should have a degree-level qualification in Software or Electronic Engineering, with a minimum of 2-3 years’ industrial experience.
The successful candidate will be required to occasionally visit other companies for engineering integration.
