Electrical Design Engineer

We currently have a vacancy for an Electrical Design Engineer within the Engineering department. The purpose of the role will be to create electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic control systems for the range of recycling vehicles produced.

The roles will include:
• Working to industry and Engineering standards and practices.
• Design of control systems and producing schematic drawings.
• Design of PLC programmes.
• Team working/ good communications.
• Ability to work to agreed timescales, budgets and constraints.
• Ability to work in a multi task environment.

Suitable candidates must hold an HNC/HND/degree in Electrical Engineering or have the ability to demonstrate and evidence the same level of experience and technical competence. A minimum of 5 years’ experience of working in Engineering in a relevant industry would be preferred.

The successful candidate must have experience in the following areas:
• 2D CAD experience preferably AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of control systems including safety circuits designed in accordance with relevant legislation.
• Producing PLC programmes.
• CANBus control systems.
• Control loom design.

The role will require a flexible approach to hours as occasional overtime and travel will be required to suit the job requirements.
